Can I remove Safari and other browsers using Screenable? Should I?

Yes, you can use Screenable to remove web browsers like Safari from your kid's devices. (Some people call this "blocking the internet".) We recommend this in most cases, except for older kids who are nearing device independence.

How do I remove Safari (and other browsers) with Screenable?

  1. If you're using Apple Screen Time, make sure to transfer control to Screenable so they don't conflict.
  2. In the Screenable parent app, tap a tile to go to your kid's device settings.
  3. Tap Internet/web browsers and choose from the options.
    • You have the option to either remove Safari entirely, or allow it but block inappropriate websites from it.
    • Some modes allow removing not just Safari but also other browsers, which include the roughly 40 most popular browsers (such as Chrome/Google, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Brave, Aloha, DuckDuckGo, Opera, and many more).
