My kid's device has an MDM profile – how do I fix it?

If your kid's device has an MDM (mobile device management) profile, it may be from a parental controls app or for enterprise/school management. Because Apple does not let MDM work with screen time management apps, it will need to be removed.

To remove the MDM profile:

1. On the kid's device, go to the Settings app.
2. Tap General > VPN & Device Management.
3. Tap the active profile, and remove it ("Remove management").
   • You will need the passcode of your kid's device to remove it.
