How can I choose which apps are allowed on a device?
All device modes allow you to choose which apps to allow (or alternatively block/remove) on your kids' devices, but they do so slightly differently.
All modes support controlling the following:
- Browsers
- In all modes, you can decide to remove web/internet browsers (including Safari). This will hide them entirely. Learn more about removing browsers.
- Camera
- In all modes, you can decide to allow the camera or not.
- App Store
- In all modes, you can decide to remove the App Store or not.
- Apple apps

- Scroll down and tap Allowed Apple Utilities (Screen Trainer mode) or Allowed Apple apps (Dumb Phone mode), and make your selection.
